Quickfire Q&A with UK&I Country Manager Dave Risk
What’s your top priority over the next 12 months?
Continuing to scale by creating net new business for our eco-system partners.
What’s the most under-rated facet of your business?
The breadth of value we offer! As an example, we have an end user business development team constantly nurturing relationships with CISOs to understand their biggest challenges, needs and priorities.
Name a vendor or technology area that’s been a hit for you in 2025
Identity security.
Are you expecting to grow in this calendar year?
Yes, we continue to grow at double-digit pace and have aggressive plans to double the business again over the next three years!
What distribution news story most grabbed your attention in 2025?
Our parent company Exclusive Networks going from being a public company to being privately owned again. Can’t wait to see what’s next for them.
3 of the 4 largest companies in this report have changed ownership in the last 12 months (or are about to). What does that say about the market?
Consolidation and Growth.
How do you feel that one company featured in this report took out a full-page New York Times ad in March blasting the term ‘distributor’?
They doth protest too much, methinks! A ‘distributor’ is a generic term that people place on you to describe what you do. It’s the value you deliver and create for your vendors and partners that really defines who you are!! We care more about the latter.
On a scale of 1-10, how optimistic are you about the IT distribution market right now?
It’s an11 from me! It’s as fast growing as ever but not in the traditional ways. It is continuing to evolve and redefine value. And cybersecurity remains the strongest growth sector within IT.
