Having seen revenues slide 23% to £23.3m in calendar 2024, Kite successfully topped that tally in the first nine months of 2025 and is now pushing for the £50m barrier, MD Dave Marshall told us.
The Leicester-based outfit took the decision to terminate contracts with 25% of its suppliers last year, according to its latest annual accounts.
Against a backdrop of “a lot of noise around global growth and expansion into other regions”, Kite sees its UK focus as a key differentiator, Marshall said (see Q&A below).

What’s your top priority over the next 12 months?
Continued growth as we push for the £50m barrier.
What’s the most under-rated facet of your business?
That Kite are a UK-only focused cyber security distributor. You hear a lot of noise around global growth and expansion into other regions. However, we hear from our vendors and partners how they desire and admire the local approach. We are laser focused and not small. We can scale in the UK market, a market with huge opportunity, without distraction.
Name a vendor or technology area that’s been a hit for you in 2025
We have seen growth across most of our vendors in 2025 and are looking forward to continuing this in 2026.
Are you expecting to grow in this calendar year?
Yes, we dipped slightly last year but have already over achieved 2024 with three months to go…..

There has always been a lot of acquisition in the distribution market and I don’t see this changing.
On a scale of 1-10, how optimistic are you about the IT distribution market right now?
I remain excited and enthusiastic about IT distribution. Yes, we have our challenges but day after day I see my staff do great things to help grow our vendors, support our partners and ultimately protect end users.
