“Cases & cooling has been a significant area of growth for us”

Quickfire Q&A with Sales Director Elliott Hodgeon
What’s your top priority over the next 12 months?
Successfully implementing a new ERP system across the business.
What’s the most under-rated facet of your business?
The layers of bespoke, tailored requirements we facilitate based on customer needs. Whether that involves custom packaging, labelling, repalletisation, or services such as serial scanning, wrapping or bundling – we prove daily that convenience means more than just delivering shipments quickly. Those aspects of our business remain underrated but continue to add tremendous value for our customers.
Name a vendor or technology area that’s been a hit for you in 2025
Cases & cooling has been a significant area of growth for us, with Hyte finally being able to go to mass-market with their market-disrupting Y-series range of cases, as well as adding NZXT to our portfolio. Thrustmaster racing peripherals have also been a significant addition to our range.
Are you expecting to grow in this calendar year?
Yes
What distribution news story most grabbed your attention in 2025?
There were two which had some impact for us – first the merger of ALSO & Westcoast and in turn Spire, and second the sale of Exertis and what this will mean for both them and the channel.
3 of the 4 largest companies in this report have changed ownership in the last 12 months (or are about to). What does that say about the market?
That things have become much tougher coming out of a booming covid-period for most tech and computing companies, in particular in the UK with increased running costs adding further difficulties to an already challenging market.
On a scale of 1-10, how optimistic are you about the IT distribution market right now?
About the IT distribution market as a whole? 5. About VIP’s opportunities within that market? – 10!
