“We have continued to see growth for the last four years”

Quickfire Q&A with MD Jordan Travers

What is Prianto’s sweet spot?

Modern workspace, hybrid cloud/data centre, cyber security.

Which product, service or vendor has stood out for you in 2024?

It is hard to say as every vendor we work with brings something different to the channel. Something we love as it keeps the engagements interesting and fulfilling for our partners and their customers’ needs or wants.

If you could change one thing about your business at the stroke of a wand, what would it be?

Another zero on our revenue numbers! In all seriousness, we are seeing the anticipated growth we have forecasted, and things are going great here at Prianto in the UK and as a group.

When will the UK distribution market return to growth?

We have continued to see growth for the last four years! Have we missed something here!

Name one area of your business where you are expecting to add staff in 2025.

We have increased headcount across all our teams. In 2025 we will see further expansion of the sales team here in the UK.

At its Channel Forums EMEA in October, Canalys characterised AWS Marketplace as one of the world’s largest distributors, owing to its growing third-party software business. On balance, do you agree?

No, we have seen many things come up in distribution over the years that cause some concern to the market flow. The key thing about distribution is being nimble and agile to navigate around these concerns, but also be ready to dynamically adjust the business to continue the growth.

If you could be a fly on the wall for a day at another distributor, which would you choose?

If we are on someone else’s response, then I would like to be a fly on their wall and that would be my answer! Be great to hear what other distributors might be saying about us (good or bad!).
