Selectec’s revenues advanced by nearly a quarter in its year to 31 July 2023 to hit £7.8m.
The Basingstoke-based outfit’s September 2024 acquisition of Nordic peer NordicDoc Solutions will add a further £1.2m to its top line, it told us.

Any IT or print resellers that are looking to enhance their digital transformation portfolio and add value.
Which product, service or vendor has stood out for you in 2024?
PaperCut HIVE has made some impressive changes within the solution this year. Also, Foldr has included some groundbreaking updates and changes to the feature set this year, making it very much the one to watch for the upcoming year.
If you could change one thing about your business at the stroke of a wand, what would it be?
If every partner would share our passion and excitement for our entire solutions portfolio.
When will the UK distribution market return to growth?
We have already seen some positive growth across this current financial year, and we are noticing more and more opportunities to continue this growth across our portfolio. I think we are in for a very exciting year to come and will have plenty more success moving forward.
Name one area of your business where you are expecting to add staff in 2025
We are looking to strengthen our technical services portfolio even further over the coming year, along with a focus on technical sales and supporting our channel partners by developing our value add. Whatever we look to grow within our business, it will be dedicated to our channel partners and supporting their businesses.
At its Channel Forums EMEA in October, Canalys characterised AWS Marketplace as one of the world’s largest distributors, owing to its growing third-party software business. On balance, do you agree?
While I agree with Canalys’ assessment of AWS Marketplace as a powerful distribution channel, it could be classed as more than just a distributor. It’s a thriving digital marketplace that facilitates the discovery and deployment of a vast array of software solutions.
If you could be a fly on the wall for a day at another distributor, which would you choose?
I believe that a collaboration with the team at Climb Channel Solutions would be very mutually beneficial. Their reputation for professionalism and commitment to channel partnerships certainly resonates well with our own objectives.
