Role: Founder and Director of KubeNet

What’s been your business high point of the last 12 months?

There’s been a fair few, however, a real high point was hitting 94% MRR which is a target we’ve been striving for.

Name one thing your company is looking to achieve in 2026

A signature acquisition. We’ve completed 2 in the last 12 months and it’s given the leadership team a real hunger for growth

What keeps you awake at night as a partner leader?

Where does one start.

Is AI being over-hyped?

100% no. It has the potential to transform both our clients and the way MSP’s grow revenues and how we modernise into a true Digital office culture. This is just the beginning

What’s been your most successful internal AI project to date, and why?

Claude has accelerated our finance function by turning manual, time-consuming tasks into structured, repeatable workflows – from reconciliations and data collation to analysis and month-end tasks. The team now moves faster, with sharper analysis and tighter financial control across the group.

Can you share a surprising prediction about how UK IT channel partners or the UK IT channel will evolve over the next 5 years?

With tightening regulations and heightened UK third-party vendor scrutiny, the channel could shift from traditional tech resellers to vendor-agnostic “Digital Sovereignty and Compliance” brokers. It has the potential to increase revenues by supporting and underwriting the cyber-resilience of a client’s entire tech stack. There’s an opportunity to monetise AI-led data governance and strategic consulting, moving away from relying solely on low-margin hardware or basic subscription and me-too models.

Which tech gizmo (hardware or software) could you not function without?

Apple – they rule my life.

Which three famous people, dead or alive, would you invite to a dinner party?

Bowie – a hero and crush from 9 years old.
Billy Connolly – a true comedic genius
Napolean – I read Andrew Roberts book and the “little Corporal” was a fascinating character.

Could I ask Judy Dench as well please?

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

Take out my batteries please

Which tech figurehead has impressed you the most this year, and why?

Jensen Huang of Nvidia. He’s transformed Nvidia and the markets appetite for AI infrastructure and game changing investments in backbone companies like Nubius and CoreWeave. From the dip to $75 in Feb 25 to stratosphere in just over a year is outstanding.
