Role: CEO, Kubus

What’s been your business high point of the last 12 months?

Working with a great board and Kubus team that share the passion for excellence and focused on growth which has enabled Kubus to acquire two businesses that share the same drive.

Name one thing your company is looking to achieve in 2026

Further growth in a global market

What keeps you awake at night as a partner leader?

Global economic factors which effects stock shortages and customer pricing.

Is AI being over-hyped?

Yes and no. Not a great answer, but I believe a lot of people are talking AI at a basic level and not understanding how, when used properly can provide you huge advantages with business outcomes. The issue is around affordability in my view because fully embracing AI has a large £ investment needed.

What’s been your most successful internal AI project to date, and why?

Using AI to help generate board packs, ensuring the messaging has the right impact in delivering key messages.

Can you share a surprising prediction about how UK IT channel partners or the UK IT channel will evolve over the next 5 years?

I believe you will see a lot of consolidation as businesses double down on their key market strategies and ensure they have the core skills to deliver to their customer needs.

Which tech gizmo (hardware or software) could you not function without?

My iPhone for sure. Lost it for 7 hours only last week, thankfully found it – but was a complete wreck without it.

Which three famous people, dead or alive, would you invite to a dinner party?

I was asked this in a previous interview and don’t believe I have changed being a sport nut so it would be Gareth Edwards, Ian Botham and Bobby Charlton.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

He doesn’t forget.

Which tech figurehead has impressed you the most this year, and why?

Not sure there is a single person for this year, ongoing has to be Mike Norris at Computacenter for the way he constantly delivers and re-invents the strategy ahead of changes in the industry.
