A disability service provider recently dropped in on KOcycle’s Braintree HQ to discover what happens to the old and broken IT kit it sends away to be recycled.
Consensus is dedicated to empowering and inspiring people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
It works with KOcycle as its strategic lifecycle partner.
Under the partnership to date, with the support of IT provider Servium, Consensus claims to have had 544 assets collected, recycled 322 items, reused 222 items, and sent 0% to landfill.
“Supported by Servium, everyone had a fun & insightful day touring around the facility and having in-depth demonstrations and discussions about the intricate recycling and disposal methods – who knew recycling could be so interesting?,” Consensus stated.
“Learning about the different machines and the step-by-step recycling process, everyone left the factory with a greater appreciation for the impact that responsible lifecycle management can have on the planet.”
