Nebula Global Services has lifted the lid on its latest project for physical security vendor Verkada – a 96-alarm receiver installation at a prestigious museum on behalf of its leading UK reseller partner.

The channel services provider inked a global services partnership with Verkada last September.

Here we delve into the duo’s latest project, which you can read about in more detail here.

The Challenge

The museum, a Grade I listed building and a cornerstone of cultural heritage to the communities it serves, required a significant upgrade to its security infrastructure to protect its irreplaceable exhibits.

The objective was to install 96 x Verkada alarm receivers integrated into the museum’s existing data infrastructure. The project would demand meticulous planning to ensure that the installation preserved the building’s historical integrity whilst not disrupting ongoing museum operations.

The Solution

Premier Services Partner Nebula Global Services, was commissioned to execute the installation on behalf of its leading UK reseller partner, leveraging their expertise in deploying advanced physical security solutions in sensitive environments. The end client selected Verkada’s state-of-the-art alarm receivers, known for their hybrid cloud architecture and AI-driven analytics, ensuring robust and scalable security.

Nebula’s approach included:

  • Conducting a comprehensive on-site assessment to determine optimal mounting locations that respected the museum’s architectural features.
  • Verifying the functionality of existing data ports to ensure seamless integration.
  • Securely mounting each Verkada receiver at high levels, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Patching the receivers into the active data ports, ensuring reliable connectivity.
  • Performing rigorous functionality tests to validate system integrity.
  • Documenting all installations with detailed records of port IDs and receiver locations.
  • Verkada’s cloud-managed platform, Command, provided centralised management, real-time monitoring, and AI-powered analytics, enhancing the museum’s ability to respond to security events promptly.

The Outcome

The installation was completed promptly and efficiently, with all 96 Verkada alarm receivers fully operational and seamlessly integrated into the museum’s infrastructure. Importantly, the project was executed without any disruption to the museum’s daily activities and maintained the building’s historical aesthetics.

The museum now benefits from a modern, scalable security system that offers:

  • Real-time alerts and remote management capabilities.
  • AI-driven analytics for proactive threat detection.
  • A unified platform for managing security operations across the facility.
  • This successful deployment demonstrates Nebula Global Services’ commitment to delivering cutting-edge security solutions that respect and preserve sensitive customer locations such as this cultural heritage site.
