Role: CEO, NoBlue2
What’s been your business high point of the last 12 months?
Seeing the success of our Spanish business, as it’s grown from a small outpost to a leading partner in Southern Europe. It’s a bet I’m really pleased to have made.
Name one thing your company is looking to achieve in 2026
The core business is trading well; it’s a good time to look at expanding via other routes.
What keeps you awake at night as a partner leader?
I sleep like a baby… However, most of my concern is global macro points around whether trade wars, or indeed actual wars, will impact our customer base.
Is AI being over-hyped?
Only in some cases. Generally where people are raising money.
AI is a meaningful driver of efficiency and creativity, and the pace of change is astonishing. Who would have been backing Anthropic three years ago to be where they are today? The next three years will be just as fast paced.
What’s been your most successful internal AI project to date, and why?
One of our sales leaders building a new estimation tool using Claude, which has made the process of creating quotes and statements of work meaningfully faster for all involved. More enjoyable for the team, and a better service provided to our clients.
Can you share a surprising prediction about how UK IT channel partners or the UK IT channel will evolve over the next 5 years?
There will be significant money to be made in fixing botched AI-led implementations from practitioners who didn’t understand the basics well enough to steer and review the AI deployments.
Which tech gizmo (hardware or software) could you not function without?
Working on Apple hardware. I weep for those lovers of Windows.
Which three famous people, dead or alive, would you invite to a dinner party?
Sir Kenny Dalglish – the man, the legend. Gywnne Shotwell – for a non-Elon view of the incredible business that is SpaceX. Sir Demis Hassabis – There’s a host of people I could pick on for AI that would be interesting, but I think he’s also had a fascinating life generally.
If you had a warning label, what would it say?
Impatient. Get on with it.
Which tech figurehead has impressed you the most this year, and why?
I half want to say Evan Goldberg for launching a new AI product in a very balanced way, stressing the efficiency it’s providing to humans rather than replacing them. However, given the amount of time I spend talking to Claude, I’ll have to say Dario at Anthropic – for both an insane cadence of world class product release, and an astonishing PR machine that constrains competitors whilst making Anthropic look like the good guys.
