ConnectWise veteran Gregg Lalle has left the MSP software vendor, telling IT Channel Oxygen he is “not sold” on his next move.
A familiar face to the EMEA partner community, Lalle headed up ConnectWise’s International Sales from 2018 to 2024 before becoming SVP and GM of IT Nation.
He was at the RMM and PSA specialist for 15 years.
Lalle’s departure comes five months after the Thoma Bravo-backed outfit swapped CEOs, with Manny Rivelo replacing Jason Magee.
The latest data from Canalys suggested ConnectWise lost its marketshare lead to rival Kaseya – whose long-standing CEO Fred Voccola also saw a change in roles last month – for the first time ever in Q3.
Both ConnectWise and Kaseya have been acquisitive in recent months, with rival Ninja RMM also announcing its $252m acquisition of DropSuit last week.
“Might be my last go”
Lalle confirmed his departure in a LinkedIn post today, writing that “this certainly isn’t goodbye”.
Asked to expand on this, Lalle said he is yet to finalise his next move.
“I do know that it will involve leveraging my entrepreneurial spirit to remain a change agent,” he told IT Channel Oxygen.
“At 54 1/2, this might be my last go so I am giving myself a little time and grace to feel really good at what I land on.”
ConnectWise late last month unveiled two new senior appointments in the shape of CRO Joe Mercurio and SVP of Go-To-Market Operations Robert Reid.
