Transparity has vowed to step up its organic and acquisitive growth after swapping private equity backers.
The highly decorated Microsoft partner today announced it has agreed investment from Bowmark Capital.
The move sees incumbent Beech Tree exit after a four-year spell during which Transparity made multiple acquisitions including AMT, Ballard Chalmers and DataShapa.
A new Cloud and AI skills academy will qualify graduates for over 50 future roles at Transparity, in addition to roles at other Microsoft partners and tech firms across the UK, Transparity said.
This builds on its existing apprenticeships offering.
Private equity swapsies
Ranked 120th in Oxygen 250 with fiscal 2023 revenues of £40.6m, Transparity is not the first major UK IT channel partner to be involved in a secondary PE buyout this year.
Bridgepoint Capital replaced LDC as Kerv’s backer in January, while Hg took Focus Group off Bowmark’s hands in April.
“Today is a huge milestone for Transparity and we are excited to partnering with Bowmark who share our vision for creating new jobs, upskilling in cloud and AI and a considered M&A strategy that looks at capability, scale and geography,” David Jobbins, Chairman and Paul Bolt, CEO of Transparity said in a joint statement.
“We’re also excited to expand our Transparity Academy to invest in upskilling graduates and wider team members in the UK in cloud and AI – essential skills for the future ahead of us. We cannot wait to get started.”
