“Cybersecurity is a strong performer, and we’re growing ahead of the market curve”
Quickfire Q&A with CEO Mukesh Gupta
What is e92plus’ sweet spot?
Cybersecurity – it’s what we’re known for, and built into everything we do.
Which product, service or vendor has stood out for you in 2024?
It’s been the expansion of our services capability, across technical, marketing and partner enablement that has really helped drive our growth.
If you could change one thing about your business at the stroke of a wand, what would it be?
New offices, especially with more people now returning back to work together in person.
When will the UK distribution market return to growth?
For us, it hasn’t stopped growing! Cybersecurity is a strong performer, and we’re growing ahead of the market curve.
Name one area of your business where you are expecting to add staff in 2025
We’ll look to grow in all departments of our business. Providing the right expertise and knowledge to our partners to help us growth their business is key, so it’s more about ensuring we have people to provide that support.
At its Channel Forums EMEA in October, Canalys characterised AWS Marketplace as one of the world’s largest distributors, owing to its growing third-party software business. On balance, do you agree?
They are becoming a big part of the channel, but not really as distributor – it’s a complex market dynamic, where they might be a short-term tactical challenge but could be a huge partner friend if they embrace the potential of working with a two-tier channel.
If you could undertake a secret, two-week apprenticeship at another distributor to see how they roll, which would you choose?
Learning from a successful broadliner like Westcoast would be fascinating – they operate very differently at scale, leveraging automation, so would be a great insight for us on our growth journey.
