Role: CEO, Saepio
What’s been your business high point of the last 12 months?
We are running Saepio like the fast-growth cyber vendors we support. It’s been great to match their levels of growth.
Name one thing your company is looking to achieve in 2026
We’re not looking to achieve anything specific. We have a clear three-year plan which involves us translating being the best-rated cyber partner in the UK, into being the largest. So, 2026 is about continuing on the execution of our plan.
What keeps you awake at night as a partner leader?
It would be nice if we can dial back world tensions from a “hot war” and into a “cold war”. Let’s go back to threatening war, rather than starting wars.
Is AI being over-hyped?
Absolutely not. We are at the start of an industrial revolution and change is now inevitable. The impact it can currently have to your business (outside of coding) is somewhat over-hyped. The AI threat from criminals though, is very real.
What’s been your most successful internal AI project to date, and why?
At the moment, our AI focus is on margin efficiency in terms of automating operational processes like renewals. The next focus is on GTM.
Can you share a surprising prediction about how UK IT channel partners or the UK IT channel will evolve over the next 5 years?
I feel like we are entering a consolidation phase in the global channel partner world. Demands are so varied and technical, that partners without scale or technical depth will lose clients and vendors will not want to support them. I believe a lot of small partners will be absorbed into bigger players in the next three years.
Which tech gizmo (hardware or software) could you not function without?
No brainer. The electric handheld thing I use to shave my head. I can’t believe I lived without it before. What was I thinking!?
Which three famous people, dead or alive, would you invite to a dinner party?
I like fun dinner parties more than intellectual ones. As such, I’d probably pick some comedians like Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy and Dave Chappelle and then sit back, relax and watch.
If you had a warning label, what would it say?
“Says exactly what he thinks.“
Which tech figurehead has impressed you the most this year, and why?
My wife and I invest a lot (ClaireandAmir.com) and we are incredibly impressed by the founder of our portfolio company Higgsfield AI (Alex Mashbarov). He has broken the record for quickest SaaS from $0-$300mn ARR. Truly impressive guy.
