Teesside-based MSP and ISP Communicate Technology claims it has swelled revenues to £17m with a second acquisition since taking on private equity backing last June.
Having purchased ISP York Data Services in September, Communicate today confirmed it has gobbled Macclesfield-based MSP Blaze Networks.
The deal is designed to add strength in SD-WAN and SASE.
Founded in 2011, Communicate’s roots lie in providing IT and comms to business park owners. It now counts the National Portrait Gallery and sustainable fats provider Hoxton Farms among its customer base.
Avaya, 3CX, Ruckus, Cisco, CityFibre, BT Wholesale and Fortinet partner Communicate last June bagged investment from Rockpool Investments, which provides equity and loan capital of between £5m and £15m to profitable UK-based companies.
Its latest deal puts it on course to turn over a projected £17m in 2025, it said, compared with £6m at the time Rockpool ponied up.
Macclesfield-based Blaze Networks will continue to operate under managing director Ben Brassington, Communicate said.
“Bringing Blaze Networks into the Communicate group significantly strengthens our ability to offer cutting-edge, secure IT solutions,” said Communicate Technology CEO Tony Snaith.
“Their expertise in SD-WAN and SASE complements our existing capabilities, allowing us to provide businesses with seamless, scalable, and highly secure network architectures. This acquisition is not only about expanding our service offering – it’s about creating real value for customers and fostering professional growth for our team as we continue to scale.”
