SCC has landed a 22-year Computacenter veteran to lead its UK business, IT Channel Oxygen can reveal.
Russell Brown will join as UK CEO on 15 January 2026, SCC confirmed to us.
He will succeed Dennis Badman in a baton change that reflects the Birmingham-based reseller and IT services outfit’s move to a new shared European delivery model.
Brown spent almost 22 years at Computacenter between 2003 and 2024, latterly as Vice President of Sales of its US business.
Originally from Birmingham, Brown will relocate back to the UK with his family in the new year, SCC confirmed.
The move comes three months after SCC – which marked 50 years in business this year – appointed its first European CEO in the shape of Robert Vassoyan.

SCC founder Sir Peter Rigby branded fiscal 2025 a “year of tangible progress” for its UK business.
Having swung to a £2.9m adjusted operating loss in fiscal 2024, SCC UK turned a £15.1m profit in the 12 months ending 31 March 2025, even as revenues dipped 3% to £915.7m. The wider Rigby Group, which has this year sold off two data centres and its airports business, generated revenues of £3.8bn.
Badman had led the UK business since July 2023.
“Dennis has played an important role in strengthening our UK delivery capability, and we thank him for his contribution,” said Vassoyan.
“As we transition to a European shared services model, the UK business is entering a new phase focused on growth and customer value. Russell’s experience in leading sales-driven, customer-centric organisations makes him the right leader for this next chapter.”

“I’m delighted to be joining SCC at a pivotal moment,” Brown added.
“The move to a European shared services model provides a strong platform for growth, and I’m excited to lead the UK organisation as it sharpens its focus on customers, AI innovation and value-led services.”
