Westcon-Comstor CEO David Grant says a quartet of senior promotions at the distributor reflects its “relentless focus” on data and digital.
The Datatec-owned networking, cloud and cybersecurity distributor today announced it has dished out new roles to Russell Blackburn, Atul Damani, Runa Macleod and Daniel Hurel (pictured above, clockwise from top-left).
Westcon International saw revenue fall 3% to $1.8bn year-on-year in its H1 2025 ending 31 August, partly on the back of a reduction in demand for Cisco product (alongside a rise in netted down revenue). Europe generated 59% of the total.
Ranking seventh in IT Channel Oxygen’s recent ‘Must-Know UK Distributors’, the distributor said the latest promotions underline its “focus on data and digital innovation”, as well as its commitment to internal mobility.
Former Comstor senior exec Blackburn has taken on the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Digital Sales (where he is tasked partly with boosting adoption of Westcon-Comstor’s PartnerCentral marketplace).
Damani becomes Chief Data Office, while Macleod has been elevated to Senior Vice President, Global Marketing.
Finally, Hurel has become Senior Vice President, Westcon EMEA Cybersecurity & Next-Generation Solutions.
“Atul, Daniel, Runa and Russell have decades of experience between them within our business, and their expertise will be critical as we look to leverage our leadership in data, digital and cybersecurity to maintain and accelerate our growth,” Westcon-Comstor CEO David Grant said in a canned statement.
‘Relationships with our partners and vendors will remain crucial to our success, but increasingly these relationships will be enhanced through a solid data and digital foundation – hence our relentless focus and continued investment in these capabilities.”
