Nuvias UC has credited reaching a ‘huge” Zoom and Teams migration milestone partly to the fact that over a quarter of its staff are techies.
The converged comms distributor – which ranked 17th in IT Channel Oxygen’s Must-Know Distributors 2024 – says it has now migrated 250,000 seats to the two UC platforms.
It chalked this up partly to “over 25%” of its workforce being dedicated to technical services. Together, these techies hold 420 industry accreditations.
Migrations of this nature are often “complex”, Nuvias UC claimed, adding that its role is to “simplify what can otherwise be a challenging transition”.
“Our mission is to help partners capture opportunities beyond their existing capabilities, equipping them to take on new projects and grow their businesses with our support,” Sagar Gandi, Director of the Services Division at Nuvias UC, said in a statement.
SCC owner Rigby Group held onto Nuvias UC when it sold the wider Nuvias business to Infinigate in 2022. The Newbury-based outfit was originally built on Nuvias’ 2016 acquisition of SIPHON Networks.
Accounts for Nuvias UC’s year to 31 March 2024 show revenue dipping 30% to £74.9m as it made the strategic decision to exit certain regions for hardware distribution “in favour of concentrating on software distribution and services channel enablement”.
Nuvias UC said it intends to launch a new Zoom-first e-commerce portal in August 2025. It is designed to make purchasing complete end-to-end solutions easier and more efficient online.
