2. Advania
Deals announced in 2024: CCS Media (October), Servium (June)
Appetite for M&A
Having pledged last year to acquire a large reseller business in 2024, Advania more than delivered on its promise – buying two.
The Nordic powerhouse is now a circa £450m-revenue business in the UK following its deals for Servium in June and CCS Media in October.
But it has its sights on more bolt-on deals in 2025, UK CEO Geoff Kneen told us.
“We’re always innovating internally around AI and data. But if we saw the right acquisition opportunity in those spaces next year, then we’d look to acquire,” he told IT Channel Oxygen last month.
What they said
“[Advania] are so strong with Microsoft. It really is like going from the Championship straight into the Premier League,” Paul Barlow, CEO, Servium
Fun fact
The majority of Servium’s staff will have benefitted from its acquisition, thanks to their participation in a share option scheme (which accounted for 13% of shares).
