Who said it? Exclusive Networks UK&I MD Rob Tomlin

Former Dell UK channel boss Rob Tomlin surprised everyone – apparently including himself – when he moved back into distribution in March to helm Exclusive Networks’ UK&I business.

Why was it significant?

While being arguably one of the UK channel’s most prominent execs, former TD Synnex and SDG exec Tomlin did not expect to return to the channel’s middle tier after his spell at Dell.

“But when [Exclusive Networks SVP EMEA Paul Eccleston and I] went through all the tick boxes about what I wanted in my next job in my career, Exclusive very quickly became the obvious choice,” he added.

What’s happened next?

Tomlin has since launched a major push for Exclusive into the data management space with new vendors including NetApp and Druva.
