2. “I get a kick out of building it and want to do it for as long as I can”
Who said it? Mike Norris, CEO of the largest global UK-headquartered reseller, Computacenter
What was he referring to?
Asked by IT Channel Oxygen in April about being the longest-serving FTSE 250 CEO, Norris said he is “not going anywhere yet, I promise”.
“The acquisitions in the US, being Britain’s second-largest company in Germany, having 1,200 employees in Bangalore that I’m going out to see in five weeks’ time, having scale, having size, building something of significance… that’s what I get a kick out of,” he said.
In a soundbite-heavy interview, Norris also declared that AI PCs and GenAI will be “good for VARs”, and said “I don’t need to make more acquisitions in North America, but I’d like to”.
