The channel holds the whip hand in supporting the heightened international ambitions of UK companies, Nebula Global Services‘ CMO has claimed.
Channel services outfit Nebula yesterday announced it has signed a global strategic services partnership with Ampito.
The move is designed to support the global growth ambitions of Crawley-based Ampito, a Cisco, Fortinet and Aruba partner that ranked 71st in IT Channel Oxygen’s Oxygen 250.
With offices in Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Australia and Kenya, Ampito’s ‘Glocal’ (global/local) model requires network and data centre equipment to be procured, pre-staged and delivered in-country as effectively as possible.
“As CSO, my focus is on delivering a service to our customer whereby the complexities of what we deliver is hidden from them and they only see the results,” Darren Brownfield, CSO, Ampito Group stated.
“Having a proactive and reliable partner in-country such as Nebula is paramount, and we are excited to explore the new opportunities this combined service offering can bring to our customers.”
Talking to IT Channel Oxygen, Nebula CMO Richard Eglon (pictured, top) said the partnership model occupies the box seat as more UK end users eye overseas opportunities in the current tough climate.
“Because of the static domestic market, we’re seeing an increase in companies trying to provide the services they are famous for domestically, but on an international basis,” he said.
“This is where the channel and partnership model comes into its own – the direct model can’t provide this.”
