Computacenter CFO Christian Jehle has stepped down with immediate effect, after just 18 months in the role.

Jehle joined the LSE-listed giant on 1 June 2023, following the retirement of long-serving predecessor Tony Conophy, who was known as CEO Mike Norris’ right-hand man.

Jehle was previously CFO for the UK&I division of Experian, and had also been UK& CFO at SAP.

In a stock exchange announcement this morning, Computacenter announced that Jehle has stepped down “by mutual agreement with the company, and with immediate effect”.

“The Board would like to thank Christian for his contribution to Computacenter during his tenure and wishes him well for the future,” Computacenter stated.

Jehle’s departure comes just as Computacenter gears up to close the books on what is historically its largest quarter of the year, Q4.

In a trading update in October, Computacenter said it expects to deliver a second half that is “comfortably ahead of last year”, but warned that adjusted pre-tax profit on a constant currency basis for the full year is set to be “modestly behind” last year.

At the time of Jehle’s appointment, Norris was quick to pay tribute to the contribution of Conophy, who had been CFO since 1998, saying “it is hard to overstate” his contribution.
