The Dell fun has begun for Ergun

Lenovo luminary to spearhead Dell’s client PC channel strategy

Dell has enlisted long-standing Lenovo exec Lisa Ergun to spearhead its client PC channel strategy as it eyes an expected refresh bonanza.

The PC market will pick up and see “solid growth” in 2025 as delayed Windows 11 PC refresh demand and AI PCs stimulate sales, Gartner said in January.

To target that opportunity, Dell in February introduced its “largest ever” investment into its client partner business.

This has seen it offer a 1.5% Client growth incentive for Titanium partners, expand Client+ base rate eligibility, and begin recognising consumer products towards base rate thresholds.

Against this backdrop, Dell has appointed Ergun as its Client Solutions Group (CSG) Channel Lead for the UK, effective immediately.

Ergun was previously Channel Sales Manager for Platinum 360 Partners at Lenovo UK and Ireland for 13 years.

She will work closely with Dell’s UK Channel lead, Ian Heath, and UK SVP and MD Steve Young.

Helping partners to snare business in AI-powered PCs, sustainable IT solutions and advanced security compliance are among the items in her in-tray.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Dell during a time of such immense opportunity for the channel,” Ergun said in a canned statement.

“Lisa’s 25 years of experience in the IT sector give her unparalleled insight into the dynamics of the channel partner landscape,” Heath added.
