Academia Technology Group claims it has “bucked the trend” in a challenging market as it unveiled fiscal 2025 revenues of £138m.

With a heritage of selling Apple devices into the education sector, London-based Academia has in recent times doubled down on managed services, making its first acquisition under owner Andrew Harman last October.

Now Harman says more strategic acquisitions “are on the horizon”.

Academia claims its managed services revenue vaulted 42% during its year to 30 June 2025, as its overall top line hit £138m (compared with £136.4m a year earlier).

Boasting a headcount of around 300, it onboarded seven apprentices into its Academy FY26.

Looking ahead, in a statement MD Mark McCormack said the goal is to “scale where it matters, deepen client relationships, and lead the way in managed services and cyber capability”.

“In a challenging market, we’ve bucked the trend and continued strong, organic growth,” Harman stated.

“With the recent acquisition of Smartdesc, we are now starting to see the benefits of their services into the customer base. The future ahead, continues to look positive, with more strategic acquisitions on the horizon, further investment in our people, services and innovation.”
