CDW has poached a former NetApp exec to fill a newly created sales VP role within its UK & International business.
Sonya Mathieu has been appointed Vice President, Private Sector Sales UK & International at the world’s largest VAR, effective 1 October.
She joins from storage vendor NetApp, where she was most recently Enterprise Sales Director.
Mathieu’s arrival comes as CDW’s UK and international business continues to punch above its weight for CDW, which ranked fourth in Oxygen 250 2026.
CDW’s UK and Canadian net sales rose 23% year on year to $826m in Q2, with the UK business enjoying “continued strong momentum”, according to CDW CEO Christine Leahy.
Its total net sales for the quarter increased by 10% to $6.56bn.
CDW UK & International’s sales organisation will now be structured around Private Sector and Public Sector, with Corporate and Enterprise sitting within Mathieu’s remit, CDW told us.

“The creation of this new role reflects both the scale of the opportunity ahead of us and our ambition for future growth across UK & International,” Penny Williams, Managing Director, UK & International, CDW, stated.
Mathieu is the latest exec appointment made by Williams since she assumed leadership of CDW’s UK & International business, with new UK service chief John Holt among the other notable arrivals.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Mathieu attended the University of Ottawa and also held exec roles at Canadian IT services firm Zentra ahead of its sale to Herjavec Group in 2011.
“I look forward to working alongside colleagues, customers and partners across the UK & International region to build on the strong foundations already in place and help shape the next chapter of growth,” Mathieu stated.
