One of the UK’s fastest-growing MSPs has stepped up its expansion via acquisition.

Chesterfield-based Central Technology, which made the cut for the recent Oxygen Fast-Growth 50, has added 19 employees by acquiring IT3000.

With offices in Leicester and Dorset, IT3000 will extend Central Technology’s geographic presence and scale, the latter said.

Central Technology’s growth had previously come organically.

Targeting “ambitious” SMEs with 50-500 users, Central Technology saw revenues rise 41% to £8.8m during its latest period, 70% of which were recurring in nature.

It now employs over 100 staff at its HQ.

2023 saw it promote Ian Snow from MD to the newly created position of CEO, and open an office in Hull.

In a canned comment, Snow said: “We are delighted to welcome IT3000 to the Central Technology Group. Their approach, culture, and unwavering commitment to exceptional client experience align perfectly with our own values.

“By joining forces, we aim to leverage both organisations’ expertise and experience to enhance our offerings and meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
