ITGL has become the latest Cisco Gold partner to sell up to a larger suitor.

The Portsmouth-based outfit, which ranked 168th in IT Channel Oxygen’s recent Oxygen 250 report, has been acquired by Danish-headquartered peer Conscia.

Small and growing Cisco Gold partners have made attractive targets for trade acquirers in recent years, with ONI, Ping Network Solutions and Nowcomm selling up in 2021, 2022 and 2023 (to Thrive, Sword and Fournet, respectively).

UK entrance

The deal for 70-strong collaboration, networking and cybersecurity specialist ITGL marks Conscia’s entrance into the UK and Irish market.

Operating in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovenia and the UK, Nordic Capital-backed Conscia has made 17 acquisitions in ten years.

The Cisco Gold partner, which claims to serve five out of the six top Nordic banks, employs around 1,020 staff.

“The UK has a strong and expansive technology ecosystem and is one of the largest markets in Europe,” stated Conscia CEO Erik Bertman,

“Through ITGL’s forward-thinking technical know-how and industry experience, we will be well-placed to contribute to the region’s continued IT infrastructure growth and digital transformation.”

“Conscia has a strong track record for incorporating new companies and we are excited about what this will mean for ITGL as well as new and existing clients,” added ITGL CEO Neil Pemberton.
