A new private equity-backed MSP promising to “connect and protect” the UK’s critical national infrastructure (CNI) has set a £75m revenue goal.

‘Serbus’ is the new name for Aliter Capital’s CNI roll up.

It comprises three recent acquisitions in the form of ITM Communications (December 2022) Bates IT (May 2024) and Serbus (November 2024).

The trio specialised in vertical infrastructure and communications, healthcare and operational security, respectively.

Now going to market under just the ‘Serbus’ banner, it is aiming to double turnover to £75m “within the next 24 months” on the back of organic growth and “the active pursuit of strategic acquisitions”.

The rebrand comes amid a “major shift” in the UK CNI market, according to Serbus.

With state actors and industrial threats increasingly targeting UK intellectual property and sovereignty, market demand has shifted from “simple connectivity” to “resilient, secure-by-design infrastructure”, it claimed.

“The UK is facing an evolving and escalating threat landscape,” stated Simon Fieldhouse, Group CEO of Serbus.

“To ensure resilience across UK critical services, organisations must protect multiple layers of operational & communications infrastructure throughout their design, installation, management, and maintenance of critical services. Serbus services are embedded across sovereign data, secure facilities, ICT infrastructure, and mobile communications to provide resilient, efficient, and secure operations.”
