AI security vendor Snyk says it wants to work with a “smaller number of high-quality partners” following a change in its UK distribution line up.

Snyk yesterday announced it has appointed Distology to carry its AI Security Platform and Agent Security solutions in the UK, DACH and Benelux.

The Stockport-based cybersecurity VAD replaces Arrow, at least in the UK and Benelux, we understand.

Snyk CEO Peter McKay last month revealed the Boston-headquartered outfit’s ARR now tops $325m as he announced his decision to step down.

Having kicked off 2026 by announcing a landmark pact with Tenable, Distology said its latest signing will help VARs capitalise on growing demand for application-level AI security.

“We’re seeing a growing demand from organisations that need to secure applications earlier in the development process,” Distology CCO Sarah Geary stated.

“AI is accelerating software development, and customers need a security solution that can keep pace. By bringing Snyk into our portfolio, we’re giving our partners a way to step into that conversation.”

“We’re very selective”

Claiming to harbour a “100% channel-first vision”, Snyk last month crowned Softcat as its EMEA Partner of the Year.

The Distology signing “reflects a deliberate move to work with a smaller number of high-quality partners who can build capability around the platform”, Tom Evetts, VP Sales and General Manager at Snyk stated.

“We’re very selective about who we partner with,” he said.

“For us, it’s about working with a company that understands the cybersecurity sector and can support partners with technical depth, strong presales and local language capability.”

In a LinkedIn post last month (see below), McKay claimed Snyk needed a CEO with “deep roots in product innovation and AI” to lead it through the next decade.

“People often ask: ‘If things are going so well, why change the guard’,” he wrote.

“The answer is simple: The opportunity ahead of us is even greater than what’s behind us. Snyk is entering ‘Part Two’—an era of hyper-intensive AI innovation. This next chapter requires a visionary, AI-immersed leader ready to commit their full energy to a multi-year journey of technical disruption.”

Arrow declined to comment.
