Node4 has appointed a new CEO following founder Andy Gilbert’s decision to step aside 20 years after founding the Derby-based MSP.
Having started Node4 in 2004 at the age of 23, Gilbert will now become President of the Providence Equity Partners-backed outfit.
Stepping into his CEO shoes is former Rapid7 and Quest Software GM Richard Moseley.
Known traditionally for providing hosting and colocation, Node4 rapidly built a Microsoft cloud business via acquisition at the start of the decade.
Its revenues hit £162m in its fiscal 2023.
Moseley has a track record of building “high-growth software and managed services companies”, Node4 said.
In his new role, Gilbert will dedicate more time to strategy.
“Richard is a hugely respected leader and innovator whose experience and drive align exactly with our ambitious growth strategy for the years ahead,” said Gilbert.
“Under his leadership, the business is ideally positioned to deliver on our growth plans, working closely with customers and partners to meet their needs and implement solutions that help them to thrive in today’s competitive markets.”
Moseley will work closely with Gilbert to complete an in-depth induction and handover, after which he will formally assume the role of CEO, which is expected to take place in early 2025.
