Perspicuity Founder and Owner Ben Gower claims its sale to Arc Systems marks “an exciting new chapter” for the Microsoft SharePoint consultancy.

Private equity-backed Arc Systems’ acquisition of Perspicuity represents its third deal inside a year.

The Essex-based MSP secured extra firepower to “scale up rapidly” – particularly around the Microsoft stack – when it secured investment from Beech Tree in April 2023.

Since then it has gone onto acquire Perspicuity and two other firms, including Microsoft Azure specialist NITC.

On a Microsoft mission

Arc said the Perspicuity deal will boost its prowess with Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform, and AI tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Perspicuity’s favoured verticals include professional services, travel, technology, and leisure.

“By combining our expertise in Microsoft’s latest technologies, including AI tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot and Purview, with Arc’s robust infrastructure and managed services, we’re ideally positioned to deliver unparalleled value,” Gower said.

According to its latest accounts, Perspicuity employs just over 30 staff.

Basildon-based Microsoft, Sophos, Mimecast and Veeam partner Arc saw revenues rise from £8.2m to £9.7m in its year to 31 March 2024, according to its latest accounts.

Beech Tree in September offloaded another UK Microsoft partner, Transparity, to Bowmark Capital. Its other MSP/consultancy interests include Google partner Ancoris and cyber specialist Peformanta.
