The Box.co.uk brand is being resurrected by one of its peers less than two months after its collapse.

Box Ltd went into administration in January following a drop in sales and winding-up petition from a major supplier. It employed 107 staff.

Parent Tactus Group, who acquired Box Ltd in 2022, has since rebranded as Chillblast Group following a refinancing.

“Breathing new life into Box.co.uk”

But now the Box.co.uk is being resurrected by Five Tech, another tech e-tailer that ranked 154th in IT Channel Oxygen’s recent Oxygen 250.

Box.co.uk will become a trading name of Five Tech LTD as a result of the move. Some of the Box’s former marketing and commercial staff have also been taken on by Five Tech, which targets the B2C and B2B sectors through its Laptops Outlet and FiveTech brands.

Five Tech CEO Asad Hussain said: “We are excited to breathe new life into Box.co.uk, working with our newly expanded talented team and industry partners.

“Together, we are committed to delivering an unparalleled customer experience and are ready to bring Box back, better than ever”.

The Box.co.uk website will be relaunched in the coming weeks, the company told us. It currently carries a “coming soon” message.

“We are excited for our relaunch and become once again, your trusted destination for all things tech,” it states.

IT Channel Oxygen has approached Box Ltd’s administrator, Kroll, for further comment and will update accordingly.
