Hanne Sjøberg has revealed her top two priorities as she takes Schneider Electric’s European channel reins from David Terry.

Sjøberg was today unveiled as Schneider Electric’s VP, Channels, Secure Power Europe, as Terry took on a newly formed role leading the power management vendor’s AI Ecosystem.

During his reign, Terry was credited with forging “multiple, high-profile partnerships” with the likes of Arrow Electronics, Bechtle and Atea. He also oversaw the inception and delivery of new partner and sustainability initiatives.

Having joined Schneider Electric in 2016, Sjøberg previously held the roles of VP Customer Satisfaction and Quality, and head of customer satisfaction, HR and business development for the Baltic and Nordic regions.

“As I begin my tenure as VP, Channels for Europe, my top priorities are for us to focus on three key areas – skills, partner enablement and people,”  Sjøberg said in comments to IT Channel Oxygen.

“This will not only ensure our partner relationships remain our highest priority, but that we’re communicating openly about the challenges and the opportunities within the market, and enabling our complete ecosystem to identify areas for growth.

“Additionally, I’m looking to build upon the successes of my predecessor, David Terry, by continuing to diversify our partner-base and strengthening our alliances with VARs, MSPs, distributors and systems integrators who have skillsets that are complementary to our own – especially in terms of electrical and power infrastructure, energy management, sustainability and datacentres.”

In his new AI-focused role, Terry will “ensure the channel is able to navigate the growth demand of this megatrend, while helping partners and end-users leverage highly resilient and energy efficient datacentre infrastructure to support their AI workloads”.

“I’m delighted to name Hanne Sjøberg our new European VP for Channels, her passion for people, sustainability and innovation will be integral to both the success of our new EcoXpert Partner Program, and in building on the successes of our forthcoming product, commercial and partner initiatives”, Marc Garner, Senior Vice President, Schneider Electric, Secure Power, Europe, stated.

“I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank David Terry for his exceptional channel leadership during the last eleven years and look forward to our continued work together as we target the evolving ecosystem around AI.”
