Specialism: Cloud-based comms

Fuelled by 27 acquisitions between 2021 and 2023, this cloud-based comms provider claims its “stratospheric” expansion recently saw it named as the UK’s second fast-growing technology company.

Having broken the £100m revenue barrier in its year to 30 November 2023, the Graphite Capital-backed Five9 and Microsoft partner took its foot off the M&A pedal in 2024 (it hasn’t publicly announced any deals since July 2023).

Recent moves

CEO Matt Parker stepped down this month after almost nine years in the hotseat.

Parker acknowledged that 2024 was “about consolidation” for the London-based outfit.

It was “time for a change – for me and the business”, Parker wrote, adding that he was “leaving it in [chairman] Mark Braund’s capable hands to manage the transition”.

Asked about his next move by IT Channel Oxygen, Parker said he will spend the next six months focusing on an MND fundraising and awareness project (specifically linked to ‘My Name’5 Doddie’ and Rob Burrow).

“More on business after the summer,” he added.
