The Cabling Company can offer channel partners 10-15 points margin on lucrative work they may be leaving on the table.
That’s the message of its Founder and MD David Jackson, who ran IT Channel Oxygen through its three USPs in a special video interview (see above).
Boasting 150 engineers, The Cabling Company specialises in designing and installing data cabling and wireless networks for businesses nationwide.
It is eager to add more channel partners in 2026.
“Channel partners are all selling the latest hardware, but unfortunately a lot of them don’t realise what cabling that hardware needs to sit on – and that’s where we come in,” said Jackson, who founded The Cabling Company in 2013.
“They might be selling a multi-million pound wireless installation with switching and access points. But if it doesn’t work properly, they’ve got a problem.
“We’re looking at an average of 10-15% margin for channel partners on our jobs, which is a great added bonus to an already half-decent margin. That could have a massive impact on their growth in 2026.”
“We can react quicker”
The Cabling Company has three USPs, namely its attention to detail, ability to offer free site surveys, and knowledge of standards, Jackson said.
“We can react quicker, not only on the survey but also the installation,” Jackson explained.
“We find a lot of channel partners have existing relationships with friends of friends -small installation companies that are doing an okay job.
“But when it comes to having multiple jobs at the same time… all of a sudden that that existing partnership can’t facilitate the growth our channel partners are looking for.”
The Cabling Company is targeting 20% growth in 2026, Jackson revealed.
“We’ve got a really good network of channel partners as it stands,” he said.
“There are a lot of other partners out there we could be dealing with and helping them grow the same way we’re growing.”
