7. Telana

Ancoris sailing

Old name: Ancoris

Date of name change: 2025

Rationale

Ancoris felt a new identity was in order following its decision to move beyond its heritage as a “single-threaded” Google partner.

It morphed into Telana last April after snapping up Microsoft partner Sundown.

‘Telana’ is a variation of a Zulu word for a shelf in the middle of the village where treasures are kept, CEO Andre Azevedo told us at the time.

“That’s actually quite a powerful message,” he said.

What happened next?

Ranking 136th in Oxygen 250 2026, Telana generated revenues of £33.8m in its year to 31 July 2025.

In its strategic report, Telana said its pivot to a multi-cloud approach and rebrand means it is “better equipped than ever to help enterprises innovate, modernise and build lasting competitive advantage”.
