3. ARO
Old name: Arrow Business Communications
Date of name change: 2023
Rationale
This telecoms-focused MSP’s old name was doing it no favours as it sought to reinvent itself as a “leading IT managed service provider of scale”.
Arrow Business Communications in 2023 therefore simply became ‘ARO’.
“Over the last three years we have invested significantly to bring the leading technology capability into our business across Cloud, Cyber, Collaboration and Sustainability. While we retain the same commitment to the highest quality service delivery, today, we are a very different business,” then ARO CEO Richard Burke said at the time of the move.
What happened next?
MML Capital-backed ARO has been quiet on the M&A front in recent times, not publicly announcing any acquisitions for a few years.
It unveiled industry veteran Ciaran Rafferty as its new CEO last summer.
