The IT and comms channel remains a lucrative sector for its top entrepreneurs, judging from the latest Sunday Times Rich List.

At least three individuals or families associated with building billion-pound UK tech partners made the cut for the countdown.

It revealed the 350 richest individuals and families in the UK based on identifiable wealth.

Their collective fortunes stood at £772.8bn, down 3% on last year’s list.

The number of billionaires fell for a third straight year – from 165 to 156 – with the Sunday Times also saying the list was one of its toughest to compile due to a range of factors including tariff-induced stock market turbulence.

Tech was well represented, with vacuum cleaner mogul Sir James Dyson and family rising to fourth on the back of a £20.8bn fortune. Piotr Dabkowski and Mati Staniszewski – the founders of AI audio outfit Eleven Labs – were new entries at equal 231st thanks to their £665m fortune, meanwhile, while Phones4u Founder John Caudwell ranked 105th with a £1.6bn fortune.

King Charles and former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak (and wife Akshata Murty) were tied in 238th with a £640m fortune, meanwhile.

But which channel entrepreneurs made the cut?
