There’s been growing scrutiny over the dependency of UK business on US tech infrastructure. Is this something your clients are talking about, and do you expect any to change course in light of recent events?

I’ve not heard much yet but I don’t expect many organisations to replace Microsoft or Google. But I think there will be more investigation into multi‑cloud and hybrid strategies

What’s your advice as an independent trusted advisor?

Have discussions at board level about risks to the business. Don’t overreact, but take time now to do a proper data review of where your data is, what organisations are processing it and what’s important. Look at contracts with suppliers and check for long lock ins.
