The changing nature of distribution will have played a key role in the timing of the marriage, Brazier told IT Channel Oxygen in July.
The union had been an “obvious move for a long time”, Brazier added.
“Westcoast is leading the UK. ALSO is leading across Europe. Culturally they are aligned,” he said.
What happened next?
Subject to the standard regulatory approvals, the deal is yet to close. But the combined business will rival TD Synnex in terms of European scale once it does.
