An event taking place next week aims to provide a “Switzerland” style setting for the channel to swap best practice on the topics of DEI and social values.
The People, Culture and ESG – Meet Up comprises leaders from various partners including Computacenter, Softcat, Insight, Natilik and CAE.
They meet up three times a year.
Taking place on Thursday 20 March, this quarter’s event will be hosted at Insight’s Uxbridge office and will feature a discussion on navigating corporate DE&I changes, as well as a panel on social impact.
The group’s latest get-together follows widespread rowbacks from US-based vendors on DEI.
Yvonne Matzk, founder of Coachere and The Channel Community (pictured above right), who is a member of the group, said the event is designed to provide a neutral setting for the topics under discussion.
“We are Switzerland in this. We’re just trying to come together to understand how we deal with these types of situations as a collective,” she told IT Channel Oxygen.
Taking place both physically and virtually, the event will also feature an external speaker in the shape of Roxanne Hobbs, Founder of DE&I consultancy Hobbs Consultancy.
Chaired by Matzk, a panel on amplifying the impact of social impact will feature HP’s Nancy Powell, Nebula Global Services’ Richard Eglon and Insight’s Nicola Gooch.
The event will be opened by Jet Golia, EMEA Legal & Commercial Senior Vice President at Insight (pictured above left).
“The ‘S’ in ESG represents our commitment to social responsibility, which is vital for Insight and our technology partners,” Golia said.
“By prioritising social value, we not only strengthen our communities but also build trust and foster meaningful relationships for our existing and future talent which will drive sustainable growth and success for all.”
