Focus Group has made good on its pledge to accelerate M&A in the IT space by gobbling £11m-revenue MSP Prime Networks.

The Shoreham-based business technology provider last November vowed to reignite its M&A engines after a relatively quiet 2025.

Future activity would also be more equally balanced between tech and telecoms than in the past, CEO Neil Hall told us at the time.

London-based Prime Networks represents Focus’ second purchase of the year following its July swoop on O2 partner Communications Plus.

We understand the HALO partner turns over around £11m, putting it towards the larger end of Focus Group’s typical conquests (its latest accounts officially show turnover hitting £8.5m in its year to 30 April 2025).

Prime position on AI, IT and cyber

Focus Group generated a £51.4m EBITDA on revenues that rose 19% to £295m in its year to 30 November 2025, recently filed accounts show. Its five-year growth average growth stands at 31%.

It acquired three peers during that period in the form of Matrix Platinum, Voice Connect and Chalkline Group.

Despite its comms roots, Hg Capital-backed Focus now generates the lion’s share of its top line from tech, Hall said as he announced the Prime acquisition.

“With AI, IT and cyber security now making up more than half of everything we offer, we’re building the expertise to help more SMEs use technology with confidence, not just adopt it for its own sake,” he stated.

“Bringing Prime Networks into Focus Group strengthens that mission, giving even more businesses access to specialist support they can rely on.”

Claiming to serve around 500 SME customers, Prime delivers IT support, security and managed services through the Halo PSA platform.

It boasts further offices in Bournemouth, Tamworth and Tewkesbury.

“We’ve built a strong business around providing a great service and looking after our customers, and becoming part of Focus Group gives us the opportunity to build on that even further through a wider range of expertise and capabilities,” Prime Networks MD Tony Mole stated.
