"This acquisition is an important milestone for Insight in its evolution," EMEA boss Adrian Gregory says

Insight’s latest UK acquisition is an “important milestone” in its efforts to reinvent itself as a ‘solutions integrator’, its EMEA President has asserted.

The NASDAQ-listed giant has today announced its purchase of New World Tech (NWT), a consultancy specialised in providing complex projects to large public and private sector organisations.

The move comes as Insight strives to move beyond its heritage as a reseller by adding design, build, implementation and managed services capabilities to its repertoire.

Its 45 employees are mainly “experienced, senior CTOs, programme and project managers, as well as solutions architects”, Insight claimed.

Adrian Gregory, Insight

“This acquisition is an important milestone for Insight in its evolution,” Adrian Gregory, Insight EMEA President, said.

“Organisations need a partner to advise, design, build and implement their future business models using technology, accelerating their digital journey. With the addition of NWT, Insight can build upon its expertise as a Solutions Integrator.”

Insight is aiming to boost services to 20-25% of EMEA sales, Gregory recently told IT Channel Oxygen.

Services contributed 18% of Insight’s $340m EMEA sales in its latest quarter – Q1 2024 – up from 12% a year previously.

Last year, Insight bolstered its services quest by acquiring UK-based software development house Amdaris and Google partner SADA.
