QBS Software has unveiled the latest in a string of exec hires designed to help it blast through its $1bn revenue target.

The software distributor today unveiled former Insight bigwig Kerrie Steenkamp as its new COO, following the arrival of Tom Corrigan as CRO in August 2025 and appointment of former Softcat exec Charlie Heald as CFO in April 2025.

Steenkamp spent over 20 years at Insight, most recently in the role of EMEA Director of Supply Chain.

She will also work closely with CCO Oliver Roth, who joined QBS’ top team last year via its acquisition of Prianto.

“Quite simply and evidently I am building the best channel team in EMEA; those with the ambition experience and the expertise to take the group to a billion and beyond,” QBS CEO Dave Stevinson told IT Channel Oxygen.

QBS now has almost 500 staff across 20 countries.

Reporting directly to Group CEO Dave Stevinson, Steenkamp will oversee revenue operations, process excellence, post acquisition integration and uplift, leading multifunctional teams across the UK, France, Germany, Turkey, Hungary, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

Stevinson hailed Steenkamp as the “standout candidate” in a process that considered applicants from both inside and outside the technology distribution industry. He hailed her “tenacity” and “deep channel knowledge”.

“This financial year was one of extreme scaling blending double-digit organic growth with several acquisitions. Next year looks even more optimistic,” Stevinson added.

“We have almost 80 new roles in budget for next financial year as the group seeks to invest heavily in software engineers and commercial roles.”
