Deals announced in 2025: 2 – Makutu (September) and Sci-Net (October)
Deal magnitude: 25 employees and 65 employees, respectively
Appetite for M&A
Having not made an acquisition since 2022, this Manchester-based Microsoft partner raided its M&A kitty not once, but twice, in 2025.
In September, ANS splashed the cash for Derby-based consultancy Makutu (fresh from it being named as one of the top five emerging data and AI scale-ups by Megabuyte).
It then gained 65 employees via its October acquisition of Microsoft 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, CRM and Azure specialist Sci-Net.
Boasting 2024 revenues of £133m, Inflexion-backed ANS currently claims to have 675 staff.
What they said
“Our acquisition of Sci-Net is our latest milestone in a strategy that combines strong organic growth with selective M&A activity,” – ANS CEO Richard Thompson
