Deals announced in 2023: 2 (Project five – April, Highlander – January)
Appetite for M&A
Previously owned by SCC parent Rigby Group, this data connectivity specialist has emerged as a prolific acquirer following its sale to Livingbridge in 2019.
FluidOne has made two acquisitions in 2023 so far in the shape of Sheffield- and Surrey-based MSPs Highlander and project five (following on from its purchases of Marathon and SAS Global Communications last year).
The double swoop creates a £30m-revenue business unit that provides local IT managed services to nearly 1,000 customers, FluidOne claimed. The wider business’s current revenue runrate is far higher than the £42m its fiscal 2022 accounts show.
What they said
“Bringing Highlander into the group is an exciting move for us as their services really complement those in our existing portfolio, further strengthening our Connected Cloud solutions, as well as enabling us to bring a strong IT service offering to small and medium enterprises,” – FluidOne CEO Russell Horton (pictured)
