4. Sync acquired by XMA

Revenues of acquired company: £208m

Month: January

Rationale

XMA turbo-charged its Apple business at the start of the year by acquiring Sync parent company GBM Digital Technologies Group.

Sync’s revenues hit £208m in calendar 2022 (2023 accounts were impending as this report went to press).

What happened next?

XMA remained on the M&A trail, acquiring part of Irish reseller Datapac from former sister company Westcoast (making it the year’s third-most acquisitive UK partner by our estimations – see here).
