UK revenues: £1.13bn

CEO appointment: Penny Williams

Context

As revealed by IT Channel Oxygen, Williams was made CDW UK&I MD in October, amid a local management shakeup at the world’s largest reseller.

Having previously held the role of Sales Director, she replaces J.D. Hupp in the UK hotseat, with UK CFO Malcolm Pope and UK CTO Carl Lawton also both moving on.

Williams is a “strong advocate for gender equality, and has a proven record of accelerating business transformation and performance”, CDW said in a statement at the time.

What she said

“My sincere thanks to our CDW coworkers, channel partners and our customers who have reached out with such generosity, words of support and congratulations. It is a privilege to be leading our UK&I business and look forward to this new chapter.”
