8 reasons to enter the Oxygen Awards

The deadline for entries to the inaugural Oxygen Awards closes on 9 October.

Here are eight reasons why you should consider entering…

1. They’re free

At no point will we be asking any of the entrants, finalists or winners for any money.

The Oxygen Awards are completely free to enter, and the Night of Winners will be completely free to attend. Neither will we be touting expensive finalist or winner packages.

This is all thanks to the sponsors that are supporting the event in the shape of Headline Sponsor Nebula Global Services and Gold Sponsors QBS Software, Distology, KOcycle, AvePoint and Celerity.

2. The categories actually mean something

The 12 Oxygen Awards categories are designed to be highly tangible and to spotlight the topics we all care about as an industry.

If your organisation has a strong track record in organic growth, recruiting and training fresh talent, social impact or ethical and responsible AI, or has delivered an amazing project the world needs to know about, the Oxygen Awards is the forum to gain the recognition you deserve.

Our five individual categories are also designed to reflect important industry topics. There is even a category for Best Team.

3. You can enter your colleagues/peers

Do you have a matchless mentor, gifted graduate, senior superhero, out-of-industry rising star or unsung hero working in your organisation or at one of your partners?

You can ensure they gain the recognition they deserve through the Oxygen Awards, whose five individual categories are open to both self-penned and peer-penned entries.

If you know of anyone in your organisation – or even a partner organisation – who fits the bill, why not enter them? After all, you have nothing to lose!

4. They’re open to the entire UK channel

These awards are open to anyone who operates in the UK IT channel.

Whether you work for a vendor, distributor, VAR, MSP or some other breed of firm in the UK IT channel ecosystem, we extend a warm invitation to take part.

In this way, the Oxygen Awards will be delivering a true coming together of the entire industry.

5. You can celebrate victory alongside your fellow winners

The Oxygen Awards have a dual format.

The winners will be unveiled in an online ceremony, ahead of a ‘Night of Winners’ at a London venue featuring champagne, canapes, a photographer and dedicated media zone where we will invite winners and sponsors to network, kick back and discuss the themes behind the awards.

The face-to-face event is entirely on us, meaning you can let your hair down with your fellow victors without having to splash out on a ticket or table.

6. They’re quick and simple to enter

All we need are 800 words OR a video entry of up to 5 minutes.

It’s that simple. What have you got to lose?

7. A fair and independent judging process

Editorial independence and integrity will be the hallmarks of the judging process – we will ensure none of our trusted judges come within a mile of categories in which they may have a vested interest.

Sponsors also cannot enter the categories they have sponsored. The best entries will win. Simples!

8. Lend support to a local charity

Just by entering, you will be supporting an event that has committed to handing a portion of the proceeds to a local volunteer-run charity.

IT Channel Oxygen will dish out £250 to Share Wokingham for each of the 12 categories (see more here).
